I was wondering how do I tell wget where to save a file?

wget -P target_dir URL Get in the habit of reading man pages :) $ man wget

wget -P target_dir URL

`wget -P target_dir URL`

i.e.
wget -P junk http://www.linux.com

will deposit index.html form linux.com into the subdirectory "junk"

I think that the only way to tell wget where to download a file is to change...

I think that the only way to tell wget where to download a file is to change thee directory to where you want the file to be downloaded, but I might be wrong.
