Password reset.

I have a dual boot laptop, Windows Vista and Linux Mint. I've forgotten the Windows Administrator  password for Vista, can I reset it using Linux? I've seen the IT guys at work do it using a Linux             liveCd but that might have been for older versions of Windows.

take a look at:http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htmorhttp...

take a look at:

or
http://www.petri.co.il/uri/?home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/

or take a look at
"linux rescue cd" with google, it's a small linux text based distro maded for making changes to the windows registry, so resetting passwords is quite common, you've even an already maded option for it

Hope it helps

The easiest way to do this is with google. Go to the google site and type "password administrator vista".

Such a search will invariably take you to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/. If you really want to be hardcore and switch off the admin password through a Linux live boot CD, then go to the FAQ on that site and there's some instructions how you can do that.
