"sudo: unable to resolve host name --minty fresh-- mv: cannot stay 'firefox': No such file or directory"???

I'm trying to move a new version of Linux into the opt file through sudo but by putting "sudo my Firefox /opt/firefox34" AND without the 34 at the end but all its saying is "sudo: unable to resolve host name --minty fresh-- my: cannot stay 'firefox': No such file or directory" but I'm sure I downloaded the new version of Firefox!

It sounds like you are trying to move a downloaded version of firefox into...

It sounds like you are trying to move a downloaded version of firefox into the /opt folder. This folder is used to store programs that you manually compiled or installed.

"sudo mv
/opt/firefox34" should work. You have to type the full name of the downloaded firefox not just part of it. Find out were the downloaded firefox file is and change your current directory to that directory. Then, use the command that I written out.
