Is there a way to change my Linksys router password in Lynux? I set up my linksys router under Windows, but it works fine with Lynux. However, I need to change my router password, but the setup file on the CD is written for Windows.

Changing Router password in Lynux

In a Linux terminal run:...

In a Linux terminal run:

netstat -nr

Copy the number you see in the "gateway" column to your browser's address bar, this is your router's address. This will take you to the administration menu of the router. You will probably need your username and password handy.

Yes. You need to Google the make and model of your router to find the number which will enable you to communicate with it. Then use your browser. Put the number into the address bar e.g. http://192.168.1.1
You should now be communicating with your router...

Hello,...

Hello,
Yes. The easiest way is to open a web browser and go to the URL or IP address of your router. You will be presented with your routers web GUI. From there you can log on and change your settings.
