Using Ubuntu-doing a raspberry pi project with retropie.

How do I unzip my game files into bin files so I can save them on usb drive and play them on my raspberry pi? I did it and know how from windows 7. I just switched to Ubuntu. I used winrar in the past to do this, is there a similar program or what is the simplest way of doing this on Linux? I switched to Linux since windows was beginning to drive me nuts with wanting me to download all this useless crap.

It sounds like you are trying to package all your games you play on windows on a usb to be played on ubuntu. If that is the case, then you will need an emulator to play your games on ubuntu.

You need to make sure your games are compatible with ubuntu first.

You should be able to use winrar to zip your files, as you have done before on windows. To unzip them on ubuntu use rar.

This link has the most common unzip and zip programs for linux.
