What Linux version should I use?

I want to install Linux on my laptop for home use. What version is recommended?

I can recommend Ubuntu Linux, especially if you're new to Linux.

Linux is unusable by itself as its the kernel of the system but for a home use distro I have found Linux Mint to be the best bet and have recommended it to many over the years. http://linuxmint.com

Everyone has a favorite, and it will also depend on which distro works best with your hardware. I like in order - Zorin, Mint, Ubuntu
