Which version of Chrome is correct to use?

What version of chrome is the correct one to use? I am not sure how to find out my operating specifications.

If you're running a 64 bit Linux based distro, just get Chrome installed and keep your operating system updated. Your distro managers will push any Chrome updates from upstream.

You cannot choose a version of chrome to use because Google updates its browser frequently changing the old version to a new one. For what I know, they don't keep older versions of the browser.
