Why can't I get ubuntu 11.04 to connect to 5ghz Belkin router?
Anyone have any suggestions? I have gone in to the network connection settings and changed anything that needed changing which was only the ssid. Still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually as it turns out the chipset for the wireless doesn't support a 5ghz signal. So the new zotac went back.
have you checked on the router that you dont have MAC address filtering turned on? Do you have the option to test if you can obtain an address by temporarily connecting the laptop to the router using a Ethernet cable.
Can you 'see' the router but just not connect?
