It's not a big deal but is the 15 minute cool down on posting really required? Worse that happens is people get more active in the forums. I think the forum would be better off without it if you are able to remove it, or at least lower it to 5 minutes. Just a suggestion is all.

You've hit something that has been sometimes pretty close to making me not writing any more on this forums until this issue was resolved.

Anyway, it's not "minutes" but "seconds" ;)

And yes: I *HATE* the flood protection.

It is seconds, but it's not working correctly. And we have talked about it before here: http://www.linux.com/community/forums?func=view&catid=51&id=10363

Sorry to make a repeat thread then. If it is supposed to be set to seconds but is saying 15 minutes, can nothing be done about it? We have people here changing the kernals on the linux operating system but we can not get a message board working properly? Doesn't that seem a bit odd to you?

"The administrator of this forum has enabled Flood Protection and has decided that you must wait 15 seconds before you can make another post.
Please click your browser’s back button to get back to the forum."

That's the message I just got: 15 seconds.

I might be faster than a machine because I get this message almost every time I get into the forums...
