i m using RHEL5, i wanna know is there any difference in echo command in other platforms like Suse, fedora, debian etc.?
I guess it uses GNU echo like other linux distributions
thanx for ur reply. i wanna know is there any diff. in functioning and options?
Hm.. Debian provides file with different between package from repository and original version. I cannot find it in RHEL..
// e.g. echo hasn't difference from original in Debian ) i guess, it's in RHEL too
Echo is quite universal across distros. I doubt there are any differences between Debian, RHEL, or whatever else. If there are any differences, they probably won't be anything notable to the end-user.
agreed, as i know in fedora dere r some extra options for echo......
now i wanna know abt other platforms beside RHEL and FEDORA......
