I thought Linux was immune to Windows malware!

Love my Linux, installed on an Acer x-XP netbook! However, my Linux - Chromium browser boots with both the pesky Conduit AND Binkiland showing up on tabs.
What's going on here, and can I get rid of them? Can't find any references to the problem anywhere on the web, searching for keywords linux+conduit or +binkiland.
Thanks for any help!
