Creating Logical Volumes using LVM
A few benefits of using LVM is that partitions can be resized at anytime, as long as there is free space in the volume group. To increase space in the volume group requires the addition of physical volumes to the volume group. More physical volumes can be created by creating more partitions from the physical hard drive.
