digiKam 1.0 Goes Beta

The digiKam developers have released the first beta version of their KDE photo and image management tool. Since the release of version 0.10.0 earlier this year, the developers have fixed over one hundred bugs and added a number of new features. Among the new features, a batch queue manager for processing multiple images, a first run assistant to make setting the application up easier, a dialogue to display database statistics and support of the PGF wavelet based image format
