Mozilla Weave Goes Beta

Mozilla Labs has released the first beta of Weave, the bookmarks, passwords and more, syncing add-on and service for the Firefox browser. Weave 1.0 Beta 1 is a more polished version of the earlier versions of the syncing utility, with a simpler and less obtrusive user interface and faster syncing.

The improvement in syncing performance is achieved by analysing the "interestingness" of the user's data and synchronising the most interesting items first. Interestingness is saved as a 'frecency' value on the Weave server so other synchronising clients can easily discover new interesting items to synchronise (frecency – a compound of frequency and recency)...
