    Oh, if it were only that easy. There are many dangers in FedUp, and, one should read through the Installation Sub-Forum of the Fedora Forums first before using any F17 to F18 upgrade routine. And please, back up your data first. The versions of software in F17, are, in many cases, the same as the ones in F18. Which causes the F17 packages, that are the same version, left not upgraded, the kernel being one of those packages. Running "yum distro-sync" after upgrading, is needed to complete the upgrade process. I'm surprised at How-To-Forge, they really should have listed some of the problems. It's not as simple as they put it. Just my 2 cents. Tom
