Fiber cable severed; SETI goes offline

CNet reports that a fiber optic cable breakage has knocked SETI@Home off line from Tuesday morning, and is not expected to be back up until Friday. SETI@Home is the on-line Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, which uses home computers to assist in its search.
