Lindsey writes “As a cornerstone component of the online advertising campaign for HBO’s New Original Series-Rome, Deep Focus incorporated a downloadable Rome-themed Mozilla Firefox ‘skin’ into flash banners running on sites such as The New York Times, Yahoo!Movies and the History Channel.

The ‘skin’ can be downloaded via a link on select Rome advertisements online. Users of the browser can follow a quick and simple process to install Rome by going to the Themes command located under the Tools section of their toolbar and selecting the show’s theme and clicking ‘Use Theme’. The changes will take affect when Firefox is re-launched.

Screenshots are available of the creative execution, including the option to download the Rome-themed Mozilla Firefox ‘skin’ and an option to schedule a reminder of the show’s premiere through Microsoft Outlook and Exchange.
