Jordi Sanfeliu writes “Fibranet, a catalan company specialized in Linux server administration and located in Mataró (near Barcelona), has just released one of its best tools to monitorize such servers. The web based application is called Monitorix and it has been released as a new open source project.

Monitorix is free, open source system monitoring tool designed to monitorize as much services as it can. At this time it monitors from the CPU load and temperatures to the users using the system. Network devices activity and network services demand are too monitorized. The current status of any corporate server with Monitorix installed on can be accessed via a web browser.

It has been designed to be used under production Linux servers, but you can use it on your laptop or on your Linux box at home as well.”
