O2 XDA II SmartPhone Boots Into Linux

Werner Heuser writes “Thanks to w4xy, Linux finally boots on an O2 XDA-II SmartPhone.
The Xanadux project aims to bring Linux support to HTC’s
“Himalaya” model, also known as the O2 XDA II, T-Mobile MDA II, and Qtek 2020.
This work was done without any help of the manufacturer, by a clever
reverse-engineering effort. Pictures of the SmartPhone are at the
frontpage of the project.
