Well, today just came out the 2.12 RC version of Intel drivers for Linux. There is a lot going on in the developement of the driver specially performance wise. I could inmediatly notice the improvement on my KDE 4.4.4 desktop although… not everything is good news: my system freezes *very* frequently because of this driver :'(
I’ll give it a try with the latest kernel release to see if the improvements on the DRI2 can make a difference here 🙂
