That an entity (sourceforge) that purports to be a "Good" citizen would join up with the insane farce that OpenID is, is scary and appalling at best. Know the facts! The link below is a good place to start.

Well, yes, that's one way to look at it. You make good points, however there are several reasons why adopting OpenID makes good sense. One compelling reason is that the community users asked for it.
