Over at Internetnews.com, Sean Michael Kerner points out an intriguing bit of information spotted at Groklaw indicating that SCO appears to be taking some steps toward reincorporating the Caldera International name. Insert copious amounts of wild speculation here.
SCO Hoping a Name Change Can Change Fate?
Posted by: Anonymous [ip: 67.189.116.141] on November 10, 2008 02:48 AMI'd hate to see a rash judgment being made, but seriously? It takes how many years now to deal with this bogus situation? As far as I last heard (and it has been a while so correct me if I'm wrong), SCO still hasn't offered one single piece of legitimate proof of ANY of their original claims. And since their original claims were copyright infringement against open source software (that they therefore had the source code to) how can they not have such proof in hand when they file? That, to me, would be proof of abuse of the court system, most likely for stock manipulation.
