I would definitely recommend kubuntu. I haven't tried it on your particular model, so do a live install first. You'll find good multimedia support.

How you doing you had recently answered one of my questions and asked me if i was using 32-bit or 64-bit on my comp to better understand my situation Yes I am using firefox and i have a 32-bit comp but do you happen to know what these errors mean and how i can fix them i have had fedora for no longer than 2 days and it is getting worse by the minute when i turn on my comp before the sign in it says problem with configuration server (/usr/libexec/gconf-sanity-check-2-exited with status 256) what does that mean i have no clue it started showing that after i tried to put gnome power management on my comp and while i am signing in it says install problem the configuration to gnome power management did not install correctly and then it says once i try to get an update and refresh my list it says package manager error can not retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for updates-testing-debuginfo. please verify path again what is all that about i have no clue and after that whole mess a a screen pops up and saysno package cache is available the package list needs to be rebuilt . this should have been done by the back-end automatically if you cant tell i am completely lost with all of this i have never delt with linux obviously if any help is given with this big mess it would be greatly appreciated oh and sorry for jumping from the plug-ins situation to this i need help as it arises thank you for your time

Hi Freddie, I am so sorry for missing your message! I've been really sick for the past month, and one of the few things that I've done the past couple of weeks is to check in with the forum. But I've overlooked this mail. How is your computer doing? Update me, and I promise to help if I can.

I like your tag "Take the red pill". I only need to know, when I should take the green or yellow ones? :-) I presume it has some reference to popular media and/or literature, but I don't recognize it.

Hey Rubberman, I really should check my forum mail more regularly; but I've been traveling. The reference is from The Matrix :-) Definitely take the red one.

You said in one of my previous posts that you had successfully built some clusters on Fedora? I'm using Fedora 8 and trying to set up a cluster with OSCAR. Before I start raining questions down on you, do you have any knowledge about OSCAR?
