Dicking around with Linux and other stuff till my Trip to Phoenix Arizona Dec. 8th to visit Mom and Little Sis. Can't make it for Thanksgiving or Christmas because we gotta work the holidays. Wrote some articles on Yet Another Technology Site about installing Puppy and Damn Small Linux on a Pentium 144 hz ,64 mb ram computer. Been helping folks out with what little I know about Linux. Made a convert from Windows, a guy from New Hampshire. Playing with Distros like Sabayon, Linux Mint Fluxbox, Puppy Dingo, etc.... Looking around for some cheap 256mb PC133 SDRAM 144 pin for the Amrel Laptops. Want to bump em up to 512 mb. Working on my Motorcycle shop building. Made a rolling Kitchen island for the wife out of a old Kitchen sink counter, cut up and mounted a oak table for countertop. Marble tiled the top. Trimmed it with crown molding and painted it up red and white and mounted it on wheels. Its a 3 foot x 6 foot rolling kitchen island with cabinets and drawers. invested 45.00 and 3 days work to make it look like we paid 500.00 for it. Been real busy craig.

Was looking to see if you replied in my section. Yeah I would be interested, but the shipping charges from Down Under to Texas must be horrendous. Divorce- Been there done that. Paid my child support till kids were 18. Like you their Mom told em I was the Devil. Not much a Man can do about it. Only welding I do anymore is on Motorcycles and stuff around the place. I Use a OOOOOLD 1950's Westinghouse multiplug 250 amp Farm Welder (AC), and a AC/DC Sears Craftsman 1970s 225 Top Dial Rig. Both are 240 volt Electric. Not gas or Deisal. Good luck in your fight to keep James. I know I lost that battle with my kids, and they lived with me at first after I proved in court that my ex was a unfit mother. She took me to court again while I was overseas in the Marine Corp, and because I couldn't show for court, and my Mom was there in my stead. The court gave the kids back.

Yeah let me know what the cash needs are to get the ram shipped. Just be sure its 144pin Laptop Pc133 Sdram, so I know we are on the same page. Right now I have Puppy Dingo running on it. Runs good and speedy so far on 256mb. Should fly on 512.

No Craig, I haven't been on this site since 1970 and no this site is not that old :) I registered when this system was being setup and there were some glitches in the software that "blessed" me and a few others old-timers with this date.

To think of it. 1970 is 15 years before I was born :D

Cheers!

I didn't get your email either craig. I didn't know you were having all these problems since joining linux forums. I got a suggestion, if you can do it. Set a a gmail account in google. Thats what I did, and use that account for forum activity. I got some hate mail from one member on this forum, probably a snotty nosed kid. I just designated him as Spam and that was it. 1300 emails! Whats up with that?
