Which ones can run next windows at the same time? Do they come with the required software or do i need to install VMware Player? I really don't want to have to restart every time I want to switch the OS.

Hum... I don't think any of these Linux distribution come with VMWare player installed.

Remember that most of the PEN drive are build from small ISO with the packages available to run in LiveCD mode.

Do you want to install from USB and then run Linux + Windows, or you want to run from USB?

If you want to install Linux and then access Windows you can use VMWare Server (it allows you to create and modify VM's) or some open source virtualisation like Xen or VirtualBox OSS.

Puppy Linux is an excellent and well-recommended bootable linux distro. http://www.puppylinux.com The ISO is roughly 71 Megs so you can put half a hard drive's worth on a 16 Gig jump drive.
