I've tried UUID, same result
I have set up a separate /boot partition on /dev/sda1
Thanks for the quick response
Hello to all!
For some odd reason, my recently installed arch won't recognize it's root filesystem. I installed arch on /dev/sda10
GRUB 0.97 Config (arch line):
title Arch Linux
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-linux root=/dev/sda10 rw vga=795
initrd /initramfs-linux.img
tmpfs /tmp tmpfs nodev,nosuid 0 0
/dev/sda10 / ext4 defaults 0 1
/dev/sda1 /boot ext4 defaults 0 1
/dev/sda12 swap swap defaults 0 0
Sorry for the delay, but I have already resolved this issue (I ran "dhcpcd")
Thanks anyway for the help!
The adapter is being seen, but still no connection
Ok, I found a way to install additions, but device "eth0" is still not found by "ifconfig"
Yep, I tried "mount /dev/sr0 /mnt/cd" and I get a message saying "Invalid device"
Hello to all who read!
Hopefully, I'm posting this in the right forum.
I'm new to Arch Linux and I just installed it, but I want to give it a try.
For some reason, I can't connect to the internet (I guess missing drivers), and then when I try to install Vbox guest additions, I can't mount the CD.
Any thoughts?
Thanks to all posts!
Hello to all!
I am using Mandriva 2011 and I am wanting to enable root GUI logon.
I do understand the risks of using root, I just find it really annoying having to continuously type my root password every time I want to make a system modification.
Thanks!
