RE: list of games
My goodness, no one has mentioned http://happypenguin.org/ or http://www.lgdb.org/ yet? Those are the biggest lists there are!

RE: Linux.com Groups
Maybe they should implement sub groups to keep people happy? Like KDE could have the KDE 4 and KDE 3 groups encompassed and all the kernel groups can be housed in one supergroup etc. Also, more group apps would be useful, such as photos, calenders and wiki's

RE: Best DE for a dual monitor setup
Well, in my experience on Ubuntu, it is. It just took a single tick box to get the dual monitor setup working and everything, so no messing around with xorg.conf, but Gnome didn't throw panels to both the screens, so I found it a bit hard to use (that might be because I was running Netbook Remix though)

RE: The Linux.com Guru Points/Rewards Program
I guess it says alot about the information flow in the site as well, if some of its own content needs to be re-posted in another part of the site to get people to access it

RE: Cube 2 - New fun "quake-clone"
Ah, Sauerbraten? It's been around for quite a while, and there are lots of games based on the engine :)

Unfortunately, I'm using a laptop. Also, with the gnome setup, were you able to get panels on the second screen?

RE: Why Linux ! !
My XP box got hacked, got infected to oblivion with all kinds of malware, and was pretty much zombified beyond all recognition. No Antivirus could fix it, so I finally made the linux jump and was very happy with what I got.

Awesome desktops people, but don't keep them secret! Tell us which DE/WM you are using, themes, distros etc :) My default Mandriva Spring 2009 KDE Desktop:

RE: What do you think of This Forum Software
Yes, definitely need a general Linux.com forum where we can discuss these things instead of the current forum

RE: Games You Play under wine ! ! !
I don't play a single game, I just play Linux native games mostly :P Spring, Sauerbraten, Gridwars, Urban Terror etc. All good games, with none of the difficulty of setting up wine.
