I burned and tested their CD Lite Edition of this distro.
Kicked up the machine, CD loaded first event, and quickly found myself at a very interesting desktop.
Across the bottom of the desktop where one would usually find a taskbar was a bar of iconned links pertaining to games.
Cool.
Played all the games no problems there.
Thought that was it, and turned off the machine.
However days later I wanted to give one of the games a second try.
And this time round I found a right click on the desktop reveals all of the typical OS taskbar functions.
Cooler.....This system can actually perform simple OS tasks as well as providing its user with a gamer platform.
I was very impressed and give it two thumbs up.
I am going to download the full DVD edition next.
Great work guys :)
Linux gamers live does exactly what it says to do, to be a live gaming cd. Although I found better gaming performance on another distro (linux console), this distro does its job well. It would be nice if more functionality was added to the OS, considering there is still room left over on the disk.
