Subject: ubuntu cant find my any partitions

Everything goes great in the installing cd exept when it looks for my partitions it doesnt find any. So i checked went with my xp disk and I even made a new partition and it cant find that? now what?

What hard disk do you have, and what Ubuntu release are you trying to install?
