I have a computer that I would like to try linux on for my children. Edubuntu is a little larger than the drive I have. I was wondering if there is a smaller distribution like DSL that I could also add some of the educational programs on and use openoffice. Any ideas. If not, I can buy another drive.
Thanks

How much disk space and memory do you have? DSL can fit in pretty small places, but you might also be able to use things like the Ubuntu alternate desktop ISO, which would make it easier to install software you like from Edubuntu.

I use giovelug 1.10. giovelug is a puppy based distro. It is an educational suite that includes gcompris.
