Blender 2.64 and Your Guide to Making Movies with It

As Susan covered last week, Blender, the very flexible 3D animation application, was updated to version 2.6.4 a few days ago. "This release was targeted at improving Blender for the Mango open movie project, along with integrating branches and patches from the past years," noted the Blender Foundation. In the graphics and animation software arena, you can find plenty of expensive, proprietary applications, but few are as powerful as Blender.

Development Release: ROSA 2012.1 Alpha 2

Konstantin Kochereshkin has announced the availability of the second alpha release of ROSA Desktop 2012.1: "The ROSA team is pleased to present an alpha 2 of the ROSA Desktop 2012.1 operating system. Major changes from the first alpha release include basic UEFI support and update of key system.
