coriordan writes “The http://DRM.info webportal was launched today as a collaboration of library associations, free software groups, journalists, consumer groups, and authors (see list). The goal is to be a one-stop-shop for information on how DRM is used in the real world, and to provide a resource with examples and explanations for people hoping to become active in protecting computers from third-party control.
Fighting DRM will require action in consumer purchases, in lobbying on legislation, and in the licences of our software (as in GPLv3), information, art, and entertainment that we publish. DRM.info aims to provide a focal point for all interests to collaborate to make this fight work.”
