Red Hat execs speaking at LinuxWorld urged Microsoft to play nice and to promise publicly not to use software patents to deter open-source development. Microsoft remained silent and refused to rise to the bait. I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for that announcement from the Redmond Rockers.
