Xandros Unveils New Linux Desktop

Xandros launched the newest version of its Linux-compatible desktop graphical environment on Wednesday, hoping to entice users away from the virus-
and worm-plagued Windows.

Xandros Desktop 2.0, based on Debian Linux 4.0 and an enhanced version of the KDE 3.1.4 desktop, features a new four-click installation process, and
includes a browser, e-mail and instant-messaging clients, and OpenOffice.org’s OpenOffice 1.1, a suite of productivity applications that runs under
Linux.
