Tokyo’s Meguro City installs Linux-based intranet, cites low cost

Nikkei quotes a city spokeperson explaining that the choice of Linux was based on “our belief that it can reduce costs substantially for creating an intranet system. Indeed, we were able to save more than 5 million yen in the project” (116.08 yen = US$1).”
