Kelly McNeill writes: “As a libertarian, I am opposed to unnecessary government involvement in personal and business affairs. However, based on Microsoft’s behavior, it appears that something is seriously wrong with the system that is supposed to keep such rogue organizations in check. I am opposed to antitrust laws that treat a company with a monopoly in its market differently than a company that does not enjoy a monopoly. I believe in equal treatment and protection under the law for all. Which leaves the question of how to deal with a company like Microsoft, which has been abusing its market position to strong-arm competition and customers into submission.”
