I just bought a laptop with Linux based OS. I want windows alongside it so that I can have a familiar option before I get comfortable with linux. P.S- What is the utility of Linux and how much space accordingly should I allot to it in the partition?

Hi, I was wondering, now that my PS3 slim is obsolete, is there any way I can make it into something useful? (my preference would be to completely remove the sony firmware and replace it with linux making it into a linux only machine)
I have a PS3 slim, firmware 3.66 (I think) and now that the console is obsolete i like the idea of making the hardware into something useful, if this is at all possible. Open to any and all low cost solutions. Would quite like to get rid of all traces of original OS /Firmware if possible.
I can't change the password which was put on my computer by a Technician he now want to charge me for removing it!
