How can I fix a reboot error?

I've tried to install both ZorinOS and Lubuntu. I used unetbootin to install to a USB stick. Upon reboot from the USB drive, I get linux error, "Could not find kernal image: /ubnkern". There is a file on the USB stick with that name. I want to create a bootable USB stick to try out various distributions. I could not find "Boot errors" or Installation errors/problems" on the catagory list

Try reburning the ISO with unetbootin. If it finishes to fast then something is wrong. Did you download the correct ISO file? When you download an ISO file, check is against the checksum that comes with it. The values in the ISO and the checksum should be the same.
