How do I get Puppy into GRUB on Ubuntu?
i have simplicity puppy installed on sda5 and ubuntu on sda3. The dos grub install on puppy never worked so i booted into ubuntu and did an update grub but puppy wasn't recognised. any ideas greatly appreciated
While in ubuntu, if you can find the puppy partition in ubuntu's file manager...
While in ubuntu, if you can find the puppy partition in ubuntu's file manager, mount it or double-click to open. Make sure you can navigate around the mounted partition. Then open a terminal and run #sudo update-grub again. I have noticed that Grub will check current mounted partitions when looking for additional operating systems.
