I think the answer that you are looking for is that you need to use a linux program to put the installation on a cd or flash drive, after you download the distro .iso file. In KDE the program to put the installation on a cd is K3b and to put it on a flash drive is UNetbootin.

Open BIOS settings and make cd/dvd or flash drive as first boot sequence. Of course ur computer has capability to boot from flash drive also. After settings r completed reboot and immediately put cd/dvd or pen drive into proper place. Now ur comp is capable to boot from cd or pen drive.
