How do I upgrade my Oracle database?

I've been recently tasked to upgrade our databases in our development environment from 10g2 to 10g4.

Where can I find documentation (or guidance in this forum) to apply the upgrade to the Database Servers, and will I also have to upgrade OAS as well?

In case you weren't aware, version 11g is now out. It may be time to revisit...

Hello Brian

I don't believe release 4 is out yet. I believe the current release for 10g is release 2 with release 3 being available for 10g lite.

For future reference though, I would suggest referring to Oracle supported documentation for upgrades and the like which is freely available through their website. The upgrade documentation for release 2 can be found here:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14238/toc.htm
and all of 10g release 2 documentation found here:

I hope this helps,
