how to install linux to an external drive that has no operating system and is completely clean partitioned as one large partition
I have an old hard drive that has been completely wiped clean, no operating system, partitioned as one large partition. If I try to access the drive through external usb to to hard drive adapter I get error message of sort (f: cannot be accessed out of parameter. I would like to put a Linux operating system on it so I can begin to learn to use it. Any good ideas on how I could do this with what I have available at the moment.
Thanks for any help or advice.
