I need help please

When I'm using this command to install gdebi

apt-get install gdebi
I'm getting this:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package gdebi is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'gdebi' has no installation candidate

Answer to the question

This may be the solution:
https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2200189
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu $(lsb_release -sc) main universe restricted multiverse"
(a web search may show more possible solutions)

Best wishes....
