Sign in as root

How do I sign in as root I created one user and that's all that appears on start up ? Please enlighten Me Thanks in Advance

To just clarify things a little bit; Linux is a multi user platform so the user you created appears to be the only user.

This is not the case. Root is a user on all Linux systems whether they have 1 "normal" user or 134 normal users.

Root is the user that owns all files and gives permission to use those files to any other users. This is what makes Linux very flexible in what different users can do on any system.

Because of this you need to be extremely careful what you do if you change your user to root. Root can do a lot of damage very quickly.
