Turning on wireless, Linux freezes

I am running Linux Mint 12 (32-Bit). If my wireless is on by default, it works fine though it says in the sysmonitor applet that it's only at 51% when it used to be around 97%. If wireless is off and I turn it on using network manager, Linux instantly does a hard freeze - no ctrl+alt+del, Alt+F2.....nothing- I have googled it for about 3 days now and found nothing. Ran fsck and says all is fine...did full fsck..same thing. Did badsector scan....didn't solve anything. Wirless works 100% in my Windows 7 partition. Here are the results of my lspci and lsmod

Ok, so I installed an older kernel of Mint and booted into that and wireless can be turned on and off without any issues. But, my current kernel also started working properly with wireless being turned on and off, Quite confusing but problem solved regardless.

I have tried blacklisting ipv6 and everything else listed. Still no luck. Thinking of just installing different kernel and booting into that instead.

This might be related to ipv6 activated on wireless.... Mint is Debian-based distro, however, u may try to blacklist ipv6 module by adding to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist or blacklist.conf and attempt the same action again. U can see here almost same topic:

According to this page the Broadcom BCM43225 wireless device is supported by the b43 module since Linux 3.1, maybe you have an older kernel?

And on the same page I found that another driver, made by Broadcom self, supports the Broadcom BCM43225, too: brcm80211. I'm not an expert, but maybe that driver can solve your problem (although I would prefer a newer kernel)?
