Ubuntu 11.10 Post Installation Boot Failure?

I recently attempted to install Ubuntu 11.10 and am running into an error when the install process finishes and reboots to finish the installation. I installed on a fresh partition with the EXT4 file system and loaded as a primary partition. I also disabled ACPI option prior to boot due to my system having its own BIOS supported power management system. Now when I get to the end of the installation and it asks me to reboot the system to finish it will boot up and state "Failure to load operating system". I've tried reloading over top of it with a new partition as well as erasing and starting over and still getting the same error. Anybody have any ideas as to why or how to correct this issue?

Not sure, but expecting plymouth is responsible for this issue cause it is launched splash and login screen in Ubuntu 10.04 onwards.... the default ubuntu theme has a lengthy script called ubuntu-logo.script, but mysteriously the .script file is missing in the theme that might be cause the boot failure. Try to reboot in recovery mode, enter usern / pass at command prompt, and then type startx to get desktop. One more reason is check the status of enable / disable UEFI in bios.....
