Updating addressbook in mail server on Ubuntu

I have recently installed Postfix mail server with Dovecot POP3/IMAP on Ubuntu 10.04 Server. I created some user accounts and added these in aliases.

But the problem is that when I open the user account mail using openwebmail ,the addressbook is showing blank .that means addressbook is not updated.

I want to know how to update the addressbook automatically? not manually.

Plese help....

Here you go. There's an article on creating virtual users (non /etc/passwd users) using OpenLDAP here (among other articles):

I don't have any experience with Dovecot, but if it's like *most* imap servers, then there is no such thing as an automatically populated address book. Imap only provides for delivery of mail to clients. What you probably need to do is implement something like an LDAP directory to provide the address book functionality you want. I suspect that someone had already figured out a way to tie that data in with OpenLDAP.
