Why can't I install Wine on my Chromebook running Ubuntu?

I try to get it from the Software Center, but it doesn't do anything when I press the button. Same with everything I try to get in it. I tried the Wine command in the terminal, but this is what it says:
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

Yep. What can I do?

Have you tried to get it using apt-get. Try sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get...

Have you tried to get it using apt-get. Try sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install wine. It looks like you will also need to run wine with root permissions as the command outputs "Unable to lock the ADMINISTRATION directory". Also be careful what you try to run in wine on a Chromebook as many Chromebooks only have 2GB of RAM.
