I don't own a Macbook pro, so I am no expect in installing ubuntu on Apple products. I will do the best I can in directing you to the right place.

Ubuntu uses the b43 broadcom driver for wireless controllers.
I found this link that gives instructions on how to install b43 on a Macbook pro

This documentation looks like good place to start to find what ubuntu version supports an Apple laptop.

sites like askubuntu.com, wiki.ubuntu.com and help.ubuntu.com are pretty helpful. Hope you are able to find what you are looking for from these links.
