Thinkfree showcased a $49.95 multi-platform office suite that claims full compatibility with Microsoft Office formats, at LinuxWorld this week. Thinkfree Office 3 boasts “a Microsoft-like user interface, critical feature support, and seamless interoperation with existing Microsoft Office files.” The product was a Best Desktop Product award finalist at the show.
The suite will be offered in versions for Linux, Windows, and Macintosh PCs — made possible, in large part, by the suite’s Java architecture, the company said. A beta version was released last month.
